Gense Dorotea Vase (Dia. 17, Height 28 cm), Iris Blue
The tallest of the ceramic Dorotea vases stands 28 centimetres high and 17 across, glazed in Iris Blue. Monica Förster took the colours of the collection from the polar light over northern Sweden, and the shapes from the land beneath it: mountains, valleys and wide open ground worn smooth by ice.The result is a vase with a silky surface and an organic outline that holds its own with or without flowers, on the floor beside a chair or up on a console. The Dorotea collection received a German Design Award in 2024 in the Excellent Product Design category. Material: ceramic...
