Gense Dorotea Vase (Dia. 18, Height 19.5 cm), Lilac Purple
Lilac Purple is one of four shades in the ceramic Dorotea range, each drawn from the polar light that Monica Förster knew from her childhood in northern Sweden. Here the violet end of that spectrum covers a vase 19.5 centimetres high and 18 across, with a silky surface and a rounded, organic outline. The collection is named after the village of Dorotea and takes its flowing shapes from the ice-formed landscape around it. Förster's design avoids unnecessary detail, which lets the colour and the curve do the work. Dorotea was recognised with a German Design Award in 2024 for Excellent Product...
