Gense Dorotea Vase (Dia. 25, Height 12 cm), Mellow Yellow
Wider than it is tall, this Dorotea vase sits low at 12 centimetres with a generous 25 centimetre diameter. The Mellow Yellow glaze belongs to a palette Monica Förster took from the polar light, alongside blue, violet and green. The broad opening suits short-stemmed flowers or a spreading arrangement. Its form comes from the same source as the rest of the collection: the landscape around the village of Dorotea in northern Sweden, where ice shaped the ground into soft, merging contours. The ceramic has a silky surface, and the collection received a German Design Award in 2024 in the Excellent Product...
