Design & Legacy
The Focus de Luxe cutlery was designed by Folke Arström for Gense in 1955. Today, it stands as a stylish retro classic, celebrated for its timeless and functional design. A unique aspect of this collection is the knife's short blade and the uniform length of the fork, knife, and spoon, with handles that are equally proportioned. Over the years, Focus de Luxe has become a sought-after collector's item and was recognized by The New York Times as one of the "100 best-designed products of modern times." The cutlery is also dishwasher safe up to 55°C.

Designed to Make You Proud
Folke Arström (1907-1997) began his career in 1930 in Stockholm as an artist and industrial designer. He emerged as one of Sweden’s leading designers during the 1940s and 1950s, securing his place among the first generation of distinguished Scandinavian designers. In the early 1940s, Arström also served as Gense’s artistic director, leaving a lasting mark on the brand's design legacy.
