Folke Arström (1907–1997) launched his career in 1930 in Stockholm, working as both an artist and industrial designer. During the 1940s and 1950s, he emerged as one of Sweden’s most influential designers, playing a key role in shaping the first generation of celebrated Scandinavian designers. In addition to his design contributions, Arström served as Gense’s artistic director in the early 1940s.
