The Indigo Blue range is designed and made at the San Kiln in Gifu prefecture, Japan.
Made of 'Minoyaki' porcelain, fired at a high temperature and hand finished at the San kiln in Gifu prefecture, Japan.
The Indigo Blue range is one of our most popular glazes due the richness and depth of colour. A unique dappling effect means no two are the same.
Local designers collaborate with the San Kiln to bring their ideas to life. This popular kiln is a hive of activity and busily produces items of every shape, colour and glaze all year round. Nestled amongst the hills in Gifu prefecture the craftspeople of the San Kiln work tirelessly to bring us simple and beautiful products to use in our every day life.
Slight irregularities in size, glaze and texture reflect the artisan nature of the product and are embraced.
General information & care instructions
Our tableware is food safe and can, with some care, be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. Sudden changes in temperature (eg. from freezer to oven) are likely to cause thermal shock, which will damage your item. Always place very hot items onto either wood or cloth.
